May Meeting (5/22)
LOCATION: ZOOM, 6-8pm

Our May speaker is Oliver James, also known as @oliverspeaks1 on social media. Oliver grew in popularity with his viral video announcing that he could not read at 35. Oliver is a former convict, having been arrested on charges he could not read himself, and seeks literacy advocacy across the country by sharing his reading journey online to erase the stigma and enable all people to have a more worldly view expanded on by the comprehension of the written word. In 2023, Oliver won the National Literacy Honors Award by the Barbara Bush foundation highlighting his monumental work in fighting for literacy.

TO HONOR THIS SPEAKER WE ARE DOING A BOOK DRIVE AT THE COMAL COUNTY PARTY HEADQUARTERS THROUGH MAY 15th.
